Jack is busy trying to find celebrities to go to his John McCain fundraiser dinner. All his assistant could find was Bucky Bright, a semi-famous television personality from the '70s. Jack has no idea who Bucky even is, but Kenneth does. Bucky takes the time to tell Kenneth stories of the old days at NBC.
Jack is on the hunt for the perfect celebrity and finds Tracy. Tracy refuses to endorse the Republican Party because he didn't want to turn his back on his people. But after a near-death experience and a run-in with Richard Nixon at the gates of heaven, Tracy begins to re-think his stand.
Jack is surprised to see Bucky in the 30 Rock halls the next morning. Bucky admits he never left the building from the day before. Jack grows tired of hearing the dark stories of television and tells Bucky he can't hang out with him anymore.
Jenna is trying to convince Liz that she is too good for Dennis. Liz denies any feelings for her ex, but slowly realizes, after spending time with Dennis, that she is dating him again. She defends her relationship to Jenna because being with Dennis is easy.
Tracy is ready to endorse John McCain for President. Jack convinces him to tape a series of TV commercials for the endorsement. Tracy stops in the middle of the taping and realizes that black Americans are always going to vote Democratic and there's nothing he or Jack can do about it. Jack agrees and instead puts Tracy on TV to tell black Americans to not even bother voting.
After Dennis makes a fool of himself in front of the 30 Rock building, Liz dumps him for good. But not before calling him a loser. Dennis receives more bad news when Jack bumps him from the show in favor of a hero parrot. Liz feels terrible when Dennis admits he just wants to find a way to win Liz back.
Liz follows Dennis to the subway station where he became a hero in the first place. He tells her that saving a person's life at the subway station and dating Liz were the two greatest things that ever happened to him. But, after a lame joke, Liz realizes she will never get back with Dennis. He vows she will be back.
