"Succession" - Season 2

Don Geiss, the Chairman of GE, pays Jack a visit with some surprising news; he wants to make Jack the new Chairman of the company when he retires. Jack starts crying with joy. But before he can accept, he needs to find a successor and Don needs to get the board's approval.

The writers are all mad because the script they worked so hard on was eaten up by a computer virus. Liz blames Frank for downloading the virus but Frank finds a way to turn the blame onto Liz.

Tracy is feeling hurt by his own son, Tracy, Jr. Earlier in the day, he drove to his son's school to give him his flute and discovered it was "Bring Your Dad to School Day" and he wasn't invited.

Jack finds Liz hiding out and can't wait to share with her the good news about his soon-to-be announced promotion. He knows he'll be a shoe-in with the board of directors and is just waiting for their approval.

Jack suddenly smells self tanner and teeth whitener and realizes his arch nemesis, Devon Banks, is in the building. Devon vows he'll be the one running the company. He also wants to throw his bachelor party on the TGS stage. To Liz's protest, Jack agrees.

Liz gets stuck talking to Devon in the elevator. She knows Devon wants information about Jack and she's determined to keep it from him, but fails. She gives Devon information he can run to his future father-in-law about. Liz even offers up Kenneth if Devon will keep his mouth shut. He doesn't take the bait. Liz mauls him in the elevator for video proof that they got physical, in hopes of blackmailing him.

Liz shows Jack the tape of her mauling Devon in the elevator. She says her technique was pretending Devon was a sandwich. Jack is impressed and thinks he's just found the perfect successor.

Liz doesn't think she's cut out for Jack's job but then he tells her the starting salary. She's sold! Later that evening, Jack takes her to dinner with other top-shelf businessmen at GE. She blends right in.

After getting ahold of Tracy's notes, Frank breaks down. He can't believe that Tracy has found the secret to combining porn with video games. Frank becomes overly jealous of Tracy's successful plan.

Jack and Liz find Don in a diabetic coma. Jack needs Don to wake up in order to name Jack as his successor. The doctor can't revive Don and nobody believes Jack's when he says he's the successor. Devon steps in and claims the role of Don's successor and the others believe him because he's Don's future son-in-law.

Devon surprises Jack in his office and Jack immediately orders him out. He alerts Jack that Don's daughter, Cathy, has been named Don's successor and Jack is stunned. Devon also announces that he and Cathy are taking over Jack's office and order him out.

"Subway Hero" - Season 2

Liz finds out that New York City's Subway Hero is none other than her ex-boyfriend, Dennis. Jack wants to use that to his advantage and book Dennis on the show for ratings. Liz asks Dennis to be on the show, but he's too preoccupied with thinking fate has brought them together once again.

Jack is busy trying to find celebrities to go to his John McCain fundraiser dinner. All his assistant could find was Bucky Bright, a semi-famous television personality from the '70s. Jack has no idea who Bucky even is, but Kenneth does. Bucky takes the time to tell Kenneth stories of the old days at NBC.

Jack is on the hunt for the perfect celebrity and finds Tracy. Tracy refuses to endorse the Republican Party because he didn't want to turn his back on his people. But after a near-death experience and a run-in with Richard Nixon at the gates of heaven, Tracy begins to re-think his stand.

Jack is surprised to see Bucky in the 30 Rock halls the next morning. Bucky admits he never left the building from the day before. Jack grows tired of hearing the dark stories of television and tells Bucky he can't hang out with him anymore.

Jenna is trying to convince Liz that she is too good for Dennis. Liz denies any feelings for her ex, but slowly realizes, after spending time with Dennis, that she is dating him again. She defends her relationship to Jenna because being with Dennis is easy.

Tracy is ready to endorse John McCain for President. Jack convinces him to tape a series of TV commercials for the endorsement. Tracy stops in the middle of the taping and realizes that black Americans are always going to vote Democratic and there's nothing he or Jack can do about it. Jack agrees and instead puts Tracy on TV to tell black Americans to not even bother voting.

After Dennis makes a fool of himself in front of the 30 Rock building, Liz dumps him for good. But not before calling him a loser. Dennis receives more bad news when Jack bumps him from the show in favor of a hero parrot. Liz feels terrible when Dennis admits he just wants to find a way to win Liz back.

Liz follows Dennis to the subway station where he became a hero in the first place. He tells her that saving a person's life at the subway station and dating Liz were the two greatest things that ever happened to him. But, after a lame joke, Liz realizes she will never get back with Dennis. He vows she will be back.

"MILF Island" - Season 2

Liz finds herself in a tight spot when the New York Post runs a story about Jack, including a quote from one of his TGS writers calling him a "Class-A Moron" who can "eat their poo." Liz is summoned into Jack's office, nervous about the story. But instead, she finds Jack on top of the moon because his creation "MILF Island" has become a hit for NBC.

Liz is feeling the heat to find out which writer was using the New York Post to insult Jack. Kenneth helps her eliminate suspects. Then, all of a sudden, Kenneth remembers he heard Liz give the quote when she was venting about Jack to a New York Post gossip reporter the week before.

Kenneth convinces Liz to come to clean to Jack about her mistake. She busts into his office, determined to do the right thing, but instead finds Jack ready to make a confession of his own. He talks about being ridiculed in his earlier years because of his former stuttering problem. His school even called him a "Class-A Moron." Liz feels terrible.

Liz can't find the heart to admit she was the one responsible for the quotes. Meanwhile, Jack has trapped the writers in his lobby and he turns up the heat, hoping one will eventually confess. Jack wants to hear Kenneth's list of suspects. Kenneth stumbles on his words but doesn't sell Liz out.

The writers are beginning to go crazy outside Jack's lobby, due to the heat and hunger. They begin to blame each other for the New York Post article. Tracy tries to reason with the writers but loses control. Chaos ensues.

Kenneth can't take the heat anymore and decides to take the fall for Liz, even though she tries to stop him. After Kenneth's "confession," Jack tells him how he let the company down and hurt Jack personally. He excuses Kenneth from his office.

Later in the evening, Liz returns to her office and finds Jack waiting for her. Jack still doesn't believe Kenneth was responsible for the New York Post article. His story just doesn't add up. Liz finally confesses. Jack knew it was her the whole time, because of the quote "eat my poo." Jack made up the story about his childhood just to make Liz feel guilty. He says she can now pay him back by agreeing to write the proposed talk show for the winner of the reality show hit, "MILF Island."
