"Hiatus" - Season 1

Liz was frantically searching for Tracy before her show was to go live. Both Jack and Liz knew in order to get to Tracy's whereabouts, they had to go through Kenneth, who remained silent.

Tracy escaped The Black Crusaders and went into hiding in Pennsylvania. Kenneth's cousin, Jesse, was helping hide Tracy from the rest of society. Only problem was, Tracy was having a hard time ditching his celebrity, especially when he was trying to get lucky and girls didn't recognize him.

Jack's mother invited him, Phoebe and Liz out to dinner to get to know her son's fiancé better. Things turned awkward when she took a liking to Liz more then Phoebe. Things went from bad to worst when later that night, Jack had a heart attack!

Liz visited Jack in the hospital at his request. He told her that both had centered their lives around work and they shared that in common.

Kenneth went to Pennsylvania in hopes of finding Tracy. Jesse claimed that Tracy had left for the city, but in reality, Tracy was tied up in Jesse's house! Meanwhile back in New York, Pete and Liz were scrambling with how they were going to fill twenty minutes of their show now that Tracy had disappeared.

Phoebe and Jack's mother were visiting him in the hospital. Jack's mother noticed that every time Jack was lying, his heart monitor would spike up. So, she decided to conduct a test. Things got difficult when Phoebe used the lie detector test to discover Jack never really loved her.

Kenneth followed his instincts and returned to Jesse's house and freed Tracy and took him back to New York. Due to a traffic jam, the journey was more difficult then planned. Kenneth threw his body down a flight of stairs so Tracy could use the sirens of an ambulance to take him downtown to the set. Liz was relieved that the star of her show was back!

After the show wrapped, Liz went back to the hospital to see Jack. She still couldn't believe she was his emergency contact. He asked her about Floyd and she told him it wasn't working out. He told her he wasn't marrying Phoebe and then finished the conversation by telling Liz he was proud of her. And that wasn't a lie.

"Cleveland" - Season 1

Jack was hoping that Liz would take the time to bond with Phoebe, his new fiancée. Liz brought along Jenna to their girls' day lunch and both were finding it hard to find things in common with the quiet Phoebe.

Tracy was still looking for financial backing for his movie on Thomas Jefferson. Meanwhile, Frank pointed out that in a recent magazine article where Bill Cosby didn't have too kind of words for Tracy. In one quote he called Tracy 'an embarrassment to African-Americans.' Tracy accused "The Black Crusaders" of destroying him.

Floyd didn't get his much hyped promotion at NBC and was considering moving out of New York City. He told Liz he was thinking of going back to Cleveland. Liz thought about the trip and thought about life outside New York. Just then, a bum spit in her mouth. She was sold! She was heading to Cleveland.

While Jack was asleep in his office, his assistant sent Liz on a mission. He wanted her to spy on Phoebe because he believed she was seeing somebody else. Sure enough, Liz spotted Phoebe enjoying an intimate dinner with an older gentleman.

Once on vacation, Liz was shocked with how friendly the great city of Cleveland was. At dinner, Floyd told Liz he was actually thinking about accepting a new job and moving back to Cleveland. He wanted Liz to move to Cleveland with him.

Phoebe wanted to make it clear to Liz that the man she was out to dinner with was a former lover and nothing more. Phoebe stated that she made Jack happy and that was all that should matter. Liz tried to warn Jack, but it was too late, he just thought Liz was acting out of jealousy.

Tracy was living in fear of The Black Crusaders who he thought were out to ruin his career. He went into hiding back in the great city of Cleveland. He told Liz that he was starting a new life. But it was too late, The Black Crusaders had followed him.

Liz told Floyd that she couldn't up and move her life to Cleveland. Floyd completely understood, but still had to break the news to her that he accepted the job and was moving there anyway.

"Corporate Crush" - Season 1

Everybody around 30 Rock was surprised with how happy Liz was looking. Frank pointed out that it must be because she was boffing Floyd. Frank went so far as to offer to videotape them having sex...which she declined.

Liz and Floyd joined Jack for dinner where Jack broke the news that the top execs were taking away Jack's title of being the head of microwave programming. Floyd tried to cheer Jack up by insisting the company was making a huge mistake.

Liz was having a problem with Jack's new fascination with Floyd. It was almost like Floyd was dating Jack instead of her. Jack surprised Liz with tickets for her and Floyd to go to the Knicks game, only to find out that it would be sharing box seats with Jack.

Tracy wanted to do a movie about his ancestor, Thomas Jefferson. But the studio wanted him to do a sequel to Fat Bitch. He decided to take it upon himself to create his own movie trailer to show the execs at the top that he could do a serious drama about Jefferson. His film idea still got nixed.

Jack and the woman he had met earlier, Phoebe, had begun to date. This thankfully relieved Liz from sharing Floyd with her boss. Liz was then surprised again when Jack turned around and proposed to Phoebe, who was waiting in the hall. Phoebe accepted and Liz remained speechless.

"Fireworks" - Season 1

Jack introduced Liz to Devon Banks. He was a big shot West coast NBC exec that Jack was convinced wanted his job. Jack hatched a plan and hoped that Devon would divulge all of his secrets to his object of lust, Kenneth!

Liz impulsively followed Floyd into church one afternoon and was shocked at what she saw: he was attending A.A. meetings! She told Pete it was touching to see her crush open up and share his emotions in the meeting.

Floyd became concerned when Liz didn't show up for a meeting. He offered to be a shoulder to lean on and she took him up on an offer to get coffee. Liz hoped the coffee date would go further, but Floyd reminded her that he needed the rules of A.A., including not dating another person from his meeting.

Kenneth teased Devon by dancing for him. Devon caught on that Jack was using Kenneth to seduce him and refused anymore contact.

After realizing how much she liked Floyd, Liz confessed the truth. She told Floyd she wasn't really an alcoholic and lied just to get closer to him. He felt betrayed and left Liz's apartment. To top things off, she was super late to Jack's morning meeting.

Jack and Devon took turns pitching ideas to NBC execs. Jack was fighting for his job, while Devon wanted it! Devon wanted things big and for mobile, while Jack wanted to keep television small and funny. He called his show idea, "Rockefeller Center Salute to Fireworks". The execs loved Jack's idea.

Liz felt guilty that Floyd had divulged secret things about himself in his A.A. meeting and so she had confessed some of her own secrets to him. He forgave her with a kiss and later that night they watched Jack's amazing idea hit the airwaves. Liz and Floyd cringed as Jack's three-hour show dedicated to fireworks looked more like a terrorist attack on New York City.
